EVENTIDE OFFERS UPGRADE PATH FOR H8000, H8000A AND ORVILLE USERS

Until August 31, 2006, Eventide customers can upgrade to the advanced functionality of the H8000FW at a reduced price.

LITTLE FERRY, NEW JERSEY, May 26, 2006 - Eventide announced today its exclusive upgrade program for existing owners of the H8000, H8000A or Orville™. The upgrade is available through Eventide's

website and provides users the chance to upgrade to the H8000FW Ultra-Harmonizer effects processor, Eventide's most powerful effects processor ever, at a reduced price.

The H8000FW builds on the tremendous success of the H8000 series platform, and includes best features and functions of both units into one definitive box that is capable of interfacing directly with a computer-based recording system.

The H8000FW marries the best of the H8000A with the H8000 and adds FireWire. With direct access to the most powerful Eventide processor ever and its 1,687 built-in Eventide preset-algorithms, users can rely on the H8000FW to deliver the entire spectrum of Eventide effects without taxing any processing power from their CPU. The H8000FW features Monolithic Tandem™, which allows both processors to operate together, facilitating large complex algorithms, including 5.1 reverb and effects or up to eight channels of discreet processing up to 24-bit/96kHz. The H8000FW also includes 20 MIDI Virtual Rack preset-algorithms featuring up to five full-blown effects processors ganged together with real-time MIDI control each optimized for voice, guitar or percussion.

With the upgrade, Orville users upgrade to the newest H8000FW platform, V4.5 software and hardware, more than 80 5.1 reverb and effects preset-algorithms, and sorting functionality, all in a sleek, sophisticated looking, rack mounted box. The H8000FW features twelve channels of digital audio I/O via AES/EBU, four channels of S/PDIF, eight channels of ADAT, and FireWire. In addition, the H8000FW incorporates the expanded analog I/O featured in the H8000A, which consists of four channels of pristine analog I/O with a dynamic range of >110dB. With Eventide's exclusive Building Block Architecture, users can create their own unique preset-algorithms with the library of 230 effects blocks. The H8000FW also includes PC and OS-X graphic preset development tools.
