MASERATI CONTINUES TO CREATE INNOVATIVE SOUNDS IN THE STUDIO WITH EVENTIDE ANTHOLOGY II PLUG-INS

SAN FRANCISCO, October 6, 2006 - Industry veteran Tony Maserati has had a full schedule as of late. The renowned mixer/producer just finished six tracks for Fergie's (Black Eyed Peas) solo record and John Legend's solo album, both set to be released in October, and is currently working in the studio with JC Chavez (*N Sync) on his new album. While Tony's collection of analog and digital gear includes many components, he has been a user of Eventide products for some time now and recently began experimenting with Eventide's new Anthology II plug-in bundle. With a number of plug-ins in the bundle, Maserati has found them to be extremely useful in supplementing some of his Eventide outboard gear.

"I originally started out with the H910 Harmonizer pitch processor, and have found that the H910 plug-in works exactly the way the outboard model did," reflects Maserati. "It does what I need it to do. I find it particularly useful and beneficial if I need to do a stereo spread on a mono signal."

Maserati also singles out the Omnipressor® and the Quadrovox™ as plug-ins that he has found to be particularly useful. "I've only had the bundle for a short period of time, but it's evident that these plug-ins, in addition to being true to the hardware they emulate, are very powerful. For instance, the Quadravox is an effect that I can use to completely change the sound of an instrument; if the artist is looking for a different sonic perspective than originally recorded, it makes it easy to create unique tones and sounds."

Maserati continues, "For instance, I can take a guitar and make it sound like a synth, or some variation of a purely synthetic sound. In the songs that I mixed recently, I've found the plug-ins to be great for little clips. In sections, I can create a whole new sound and give a song something more. If I want to give something a bit of a lift; it can really make sections of a song shimmer."

Maserati further commented, "Another thing I liked immediately about the Anthology II plug-ins is that it has the best presets. They have obvious names and descriptions and I can quickly shuffle between them and locate a particular effect that I'm looking for without having to reset knobs or other time-consuming actions. And the interface on an effect like the H910 or the EQ65 Filter Set is very easy to use, in that it's easy to read and it gives me a numeric quantity indicating settings, as opposed to a picture of a knob. I really appreciate that from a developer. The plug-ins with a great interface are the ones I reach for first."
