EVENTIDE VR615 DIGITAL VOICE LOGGER IS ULTIMATE SOLUTION FOR QUALITY MEDICAL TRANSPORT AMBULANCE FLEET

DENVER, COLORADO, August 21, 2005 - Underscoring its leadership position as the digital voice logger of choice, Eventide today announced that Quality Medical Transport (QMT) of Bayville, New Jersey, has installed a VR615 for its emergency response dispatch call center.

The VR615 is an integral part of a completely new data archiving, routing, and scheduling system specified by Quality Communications of Lakewood, New Jersey. The VR615 was selected to ensure seamless archiving and retrieval of all QMT telephone communications, a vital function for its busy emergency dispatch call center.

"The logger has worked flawlessly and we're very happy with it," said Sal Murante, QMT Operations Manager. "Over the past six months we have given our entire call center a complete overhaul to increase the efficiency of our operations. We needed a logger that was dependable and easy to use. The Eventide logger was selected by QualComm and service has been great."

As a 911-call response center, the seconds saved by easy access to all recorded calls can save lives. QMT's prior system was based on a recorder system that required the operator to select which calls would be recorded. With the VR615, QMT's eight operators now have instant access to archives at their fingertips. The Linux-based digital logger functions as a network server, allowing up to 16 separate users to simultaneously access the system via any standard Windows networked PC workstation using Eventide's Call Record Browser software. The Call Record Browser provides live monitoring or play back with talking/time/date of up to eight simultaneous channels for easy monitoring.

The VR615 recordings can be saved as .wav files and e-mailed or burned onto CD, making it easier than ever for QMT to share its communications. The VR615 features variable recording compression rates of 13.3, 16, 32, and 64 kb/s, giving users complete control over recording time and quality. In addition, the VR615 comes standard with dual hot-swappable 120GB hard disks, which can record 19,800 channel/hours at 13.3 kb/s which translates to nearly 5 channel/years of storage.

QMT has served southern Ocean County and the surrounding communities in southeastern New Jersey for over 13 years. Family owned and operated, the independent transport service provides both emergency ambulance and wheelchair transport service with a fleet of 48 vehicles. QMT employs over 130 employees located throughout its headquarters and three satellite dispatch locations.

According to Eventide Communications Division general manager Gordon Moore, the VR615 was designed for operators like QMT. "The VR615 was conceived for the midsize public safety operators who need a wide variety of functions in one simple-to-use unit and Quality Medical Transport is a prime example. We at Eventide are pleased the VR615 is serving QMT and allowing them to focus on their most important work of saving lives."
