EVENTIDE OFFERS INSTANT STORAGE BACKUP WITH SOFTWARE VERSION 1.3 FOR LOGGER AND ARCHIVING SYSTEMS

LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA, June 25, 2005 - Eventide today introduced an updated version of its logger and archiving system software, Version 1.3, giving communications professionals network attached storage capabilities for effortless system back up and instant recall. According to Gordon Moore, Eventide Communications Division General Manager, Version 1.3 will improve efficiency of call centers by streamlining the process of archiving messages.

"Communications professionals have extraordinary responsibilities to manage in their daily job," said Moore, "and the last thing they need to worry about is archiving their logger system. Eventide's Version 1.3 software removes this time-consuming yet crucial task by allowing users to simultaneously record to both a local hard drive and a networked hard drive. The networking function also allows instant access to archived data without overburdening the local hard drive. Version1.3 gives our customers a highly functional system that operates more efficiently and lets them focus on their most important tasks."

With the addition of distributed storage capability, Version 1.3 enables users to instantly archive all messages to a networked hard drive. As each call comes in, the logger records the message to its local hard drive. With Version 1.3, the logger simultaneously archives the message to a networked archive hard drive where the call can be backed up for permanent storage. When the local drive reaches capacity and must be cleared, the archiving process is already achieved and users can simply clear the local drive without the worry of losing past messages. Archived messages can be recalled at any time to the logger, guaranteeing the user has complete, instant access to all messages without the time-consuming step of connecting external archive drives.

Distributed storage capability is the latest addition to Eventide's stable, highly reliable logger and archiving system software. Other recent upgrades include a front-panel display that indicates hard disk capacity, making it easier to monitor available disk space on the local hard drive. Version 1.3 also offers enhanced status alert functions to ensure users have complete awareness and control of their systems. Also added is a new recording function that archives only protected calls within a set time frame, allowing communications professionals to maximize the efficiency of the logging process. Enhanced support functions include an expanded time-sync and RAID support for greater configuration flexibility, and a 24-channel analog board support with higher density for improved performance.
