EVENTIDE SHIPS BD600 BROADCAST DELAY

BD600 features MicroPrecision Delay functionality, for HD radio synchronization.

Obscenity delay increased to 80 seconds - twice the nearest competitor.

LITTLE FERRY, NEW JERSEY, August 8, 2005 -Eventide today announced its flagship digital delay, the BD600, is now available. With up to 80 seconds of delay for profanity protection, or MicroPrecision Delay(tm) mode for HD radio synchronization, the BD600 offers radio broadcasters the best sounding and most flexible broadcast delay available.

"Since its introduction at NAB, the BD600 has been anticipated by numerous radio stations upgrading to HD," said Eventide vice president of sales and marketing, Ray Maxwell. "We're pleased to announce the BD600 is now shipping. The BD600 is the only delay which provides up to 10 seconds of delay, which can ramp in and out and be adjusted in one microsecond increments without audible artifacts, for on-air HD synchronization. When it comes to sound quality, dependability, and the ability to easily adjust the parameters independent of the exciter, the BD600 is without peer."

As a profanity delay, the BD600, Eventide's fourth generation broadcast obscenity delay, introduces several new features, starting with expanded delay time. The BD600 doubles the total delay time of its predecessor to 80 seconds to give maximum protection for live shows where anything can happen. The exclusive PANIC feature allows a .WAV file stored on a compact flash card to be played when the PANIC button is hit. While the file, which may be a jingle, station ID, or any other message, is played, the delay buffer is rebuilding allowing programming to continue in safety as soon as the jingle has completed.

The BD600 is available through authorized Eventide dealers worldwide.
