EVENTIDE MERGES CANADIAN DEALERS WITH U.S. DEALERS INTO AN INTEGRATED NORTH AMERICAN DEALER NETWORK

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, April 19, 2004 - Eventide today announced the integration of all existing Canadian dealers into an expanded North American dealer network. "With the open borders with our northern neighbor, combined with the recent exchange rate improvements, implementing a sales structure similar to the U.S. makes a great deal of sense," states Eventide vice president of sales and marketing, Ray Maxwell. Effective immediately, Soul Tech Marketing, which also represents Eventide in the metropolitan New York area, will serve Eventide in eastern Canada, and Northshore, which serves Eventide in the Pacific Northwest, will serve western Canada.

"Both Soul Tech Marketing and Northshore Marketing have a proven track record at managing sales and supporting channel partners and customers in the Canadian market," said Ray Maxwell. "Eric Klein, principal of Soul Tech marketing, got his start at Saved by Technology, one of the preeminent professional audio dealers in Toronto. Soul Tech Marketing has a great deal of experience hosting clinics and creating excitement in the professional audio community throughout eastern Canada, as well as in the metro New York area where they have been doing a stand-up job for Eventide. Similarly, Northshore Marketing is a widely respected name in the professional audio field. "Lew Barrett and I have been friends and associates for nearly eighteen years and I am confident that he and his team at Northshore Marketing will be a successful sales partner for Eventide in western Canada," adds Maxwell. "The foundation of Eventide's business in Canada has been well established over many years, most recently by the tireless efforts of our former distributor HHB Canada. This groundwork provides a fertile environment for expanding our presence in Canada by making this significant step closer to the dealers and ultimately the customers."

Northshore Marketing is based in Seattle, Washington, and represents a select group of professional audio manufacturers, including JBL Professional and Crown International, as well as companies like PolyCom and Onkyo Professional.
